Palli Chetana has made substantial progress which eventually contributed to improve lives and livelihood of millions of people particularly the people of coastal regions areas. People in these regions suffer most due to poverty, vulnerability, frequent natural disasters, frequent and inconsistent rain falls, tidal surges, and overall rapid climate changes. Therefore, Palli Chetana put more emphasis on how people can cope with changing uncontrollable situations and look for alternative livelihoods options.
For over two decade, our mission has been to bridge the gap between systemic inequality and community empowerment. We have reached a pivotal milestone by providing safe drinking water and sanitation access, livelihood support, skill development training, child education to over 275,000 households.
Palli Chetana determines number of thematic areas, as it was always in the past, to initiate any project at local levels. These thematic areas are: socio economic development, education, health & nutrition, disaster, climate resilient and environmental resource management, human rights, advocacy and good governance.
In certainty, these thematic areas successfully managed with the support of Government of Bangladesh, national and international agencies and peoples in communities. All the interventions supported to contribute SDGs especially eradicate extreme poverty and hunger, achieve universal primary education, promote gender equality and empower women, reduce child mortality, improve maternal health and ensure environmental sustainability.
Palli Chetana is appreciating all the partners, donors, people in communities, officials at local governance and leaders in communities for their support and cooperation and extending heartiest thanks to its management, staff members and volunteers to implement all projects successfully.
